Show Van Washburn in Charge At Moab Post Office With the sudden resignation resig-nation of Russell Carter from the position as Moab Postmaster, a vacuum was created that has been temporarily filled by Van Washburn who will function as Officer Of-ficer in Charge. Mr. Washburn is the Administrative Assistant Assist-ant to the United States Postal Service Sectional Manager in Provo where he is from. He will be in charge of the Moab Post Office until a new post-master post-master is selected, which could take as long as six months. Applications are now being accepted from Postal Service employees employ-ees who are now in pay level 12 or above, and applications have' been submitted from as far away as Pocatello, Idaho. All applications submitted submit-ted prior to the deadline of Jan. 10 will be sent to the Provo Sectional Manager. Robert Strong, who will narrow the choices down to only a few applicants. These applicants will then be considered by the Postmaster Post-master Selection Board in San Francisco who will make the final decision. de-cision.
