Show Funeral Set In Idaho For Grant H. "Blackie" Eslick Funeral services will be held at the Masonic Hall in Mullen, Idaho April 5 at 2 p.m. for Grant H. "Blackie" Eslick, well-known former Moab resident resi-dent who died March 26 in Tucson, Arizona, after a short illness. Born July 3. 1915 in Boulder. Colorado, to Mr. and Mrs. Grant Eslick, Sr., he was raised in Mullen, Idaho and graduated from high school there. In 1941 he married Vivian Laukeman in Thompson Falls, Montana, and born to them were two children, Trudy Jo and William Grant. The Eslicks have lived in Tucson the past 11 years, but resided in Moab the 11 years prior to that. Blackie was employed here by Hecla Mining Co. and Texasgulf, Inc., as a mining supervisor. He was a past Master of La Sal Lodge No. 30, F&AM, a past Associate Guardian of Job's Daughters Bethel No. 8 and also belonged to the Masonic Lodge in Mullen, Idaho. In addition, he helped organize the junior riding club here. Hobbies included fishing, fish-ing, painting, drawing and carving. Survivors include his widow, Vivian, Daughter, Mrs. Bob (Trudy) Watkins, son and wife, Bill and Linda Eslick, 4 granddaughters, Libby, Kari, Jacki and Carolyn, a brother, Leo Eslick, Post Falls Idaho, and a sister, Mrs. Gene (Eva) Nelson, Pinehurst. Idaho. Burial will be in Mullen, Idaho. The family requests that in lieu of lowers, donations be made to the Shriner's Childrens Hospital, Salt Lake City, Utah. |
