Jewkes, son of Mr. and Mrs. Don Jewkes, 2nd South Second West, Orangcville, Ut., was an honor graduate in his class of candidates competing compet-ing rotary wing flight train, ing at the Army Primary Helicopter Schol June 30. He earned both the Out standing in Flight Achievement Achieve-ment and the Military Achievement Achi-evement awards sponsoryl by the Ft. Wolters Chapter of the Army Avation Association Associ-ation of America. Candidate Jewkes now goes to Ft. Rucker, Ala., for advanced helicopter instruction. instruc-tion. Upon completion of his training he will be appointed appoint-ed a warrent officer and wil be gliven the silver wings of an Army aviator. The 24-year-old aviation student is a graduate of Green River High Schol. He was a miner at Moab before entering the Army in 19G8. Candidate Jewkes served overseas in Germany and in Vietnam where he earned 25 awards of the Air Medal for missions flown as a crew member over hostile territory. terri-tory.
