" - " Damaging Fire . . . .This fire which started at 5:55 Tuesday afternoon completely destroyed the building which houses E & E Cycle Center. Conservative estimates on damage are set at $-10,000. The fire began when a workman attempted at-tempted to start a motorcycle which had been brought in for repairs and the gas ignited and an explosion followed. There were no injuries. About 20 motorcycles were removed from the building without damage but another 35 were not removed before they were destroyed. de-stroyed. Some of the bikes which were burned belonged be-longed to customers who had -brought them in for repairs; re-pairs; others were new motorcycles which had not yet been uncratcd. Two snowmobiles were also totally destroyed in the blaze along with an inventory of. tires and other itcmx The building was owned by Mrs. Edna Patterson. |
