Show New Organizational Approch Being Put tb Use by Moab Scout Group Troop 285 in the Moab Girl Scout Council is trying something new this year. Girls, all between the ages of 10 and 12 or in the 4th, 5th and 6th grades, have been divided within the troop into patrols; these patrols will be led by volunteer Mother's Mo-ther's and Father's in homes, with parents receiving instructions in-structions and help from leaders lea-ders within the troop or oy any other volunteers in the community that would like to help in some way with Girl Scouting sharing their special talent with these girls. Once a month, the patrols , will join together for a troop meeting which will be held in the Community Baptist Church, at which time all troop business will be conducted con-ducted and a special program pro-gram presented either by prepared patrols or by an outside interest helper. Dues have been established at 50 cents per month to defray any expenses ' incurred by those helping with the troop. All patrol work will be done with earning a badge as the ultimate goal; hopefully, hope-fully, badges' can be earned in a one month' -period -so that no hardsip will be worked work-ed on any helper; however, should the October helper for example not finish a badge during October, she can continue with the patrol pa-trol through November, or another helper can be lined up to take over the patrol for November to finish it; patrols will include no more than ten (10) girls in order for girls to receive more individual in-dividual attention. Troop leaders who may be contacted by any person wishing to help with the Scouting program are: Mrs: Charles Kelling, leader and coordinator; Mrs. V. Sandoval, Sando-val, assistant leader; Mrs. Jim Anderson, assistant leader; lea-der; and Mrs C. Diemer, assistant leader.
