Show a less destructive year There is only one way to make sure the Manti-LaSal Manti-LaSal National Forest will remain. This will take- the help and cooperation of each group of people and each individual who uses the forest. The first thing we must do is to be careful with fire at all times. Fires are not bad when they are planned and built in safe places. They become destructive des-tructive when they are carelessly started, and carelessly left, or built in a dangerous area. Even though each of us is constantly careful with fires, we should look out for others and teach them to be care ful. Secondly, we must be true campers and picnickers. This means we leave our campsite cleaner when we leave than it was when came. Fire may destroy faster, but it is impossible to say which looks worse, an area destroyed by fire or an area destroyed because- camp ers turned it into a garbage pit. So please, let each of us join to make this hunting season the least destructive yet. |
