Show Funeral Services Held Friday For Virginia Gail Hines Funeral services were held Friday at 2 p.m. for Virginia Gail I lines, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William T. Hines, who passed away in Salt Lake City Wednesday of last week following surgery. The services, held in the LDS Chapel in Moab, were under the direction of Bishop David L. Bailey. Virginia Gail Hines was born Oct. 14, 1947 in Denver, Co- lorado. She grew up in Moab and attended Moab schools. She was a 19CG graduate of Grand County High School. As a member of the LDS Church, she attended Primary, Pri-mary, MIA and graduated from Seminary in 1905. In high school she was active as a cheerleader and excelled excell-ed in art work, particularly painting and sculpturing. In her Sophomore year she won a State National Guard sponsored spon-sored art show with a water color of Vietnam. The school year 1966-67 she attended Mesa Junior College Col-lege studying art and psychology. psy-chology. This fall she was enrolled as a Junior at the University Univers-ity of Colorado at Boulder. While at Mesa College, she met John Hellner of Wheat-ridge, Wheat-ridge, Colo. They were engaged en-gaged to be married this coming spring. She is survived by her parents, par-ents, William and Carol Hines, seven brothers, Billy, Phillip, Ronnie, Wayne, Art, Doug, and Robert; one sister, sis-ter, Barbara. Also surviving are her grandfather, Howard Balsley, one uncle, Tom Balsley, and a great uncle, Floyd Trout. Burial was in the Grand Valley Cemetery, under dir- cction of Turner Funeral Pallbearers were Billy. Phillip and Wayne Hines; Mike Barker, Tom Balsley, and John Hellner. Among those from out of town attending the services were: John Hellner, Virginia's Virgin-ia's fiance; Mrs. John Hellner, Hell-ner, Sr., Mr. and Mrs. Ancil King, Judy Danstall, Judy Kibler, Caryl Lowry, Mary Lou Claybough, all of Grand Junction; and Kaye Barker of Price. |
