Show Annual Scout Fund Drive Set This Thursday Niajtt Finance chainnnn Genu Gary announced that the Grand District of the Roy Scouts of America will kick off its annual fund drive this Thursday evening at the Court House at 6:30 p.m. Many prominent citizens of the community will be participating par-ticipating in the district finance drive. This year the citzens of Moab will have a chance to become a member in one of three clubs. The first is The Friends of Scouting for people peo-ple that donate up to $24. The second is the Sustan-ing Sustan-ing Member Club for donations dona-tions of $25 to $99 and the last is the Century Club for donations of a $100 or more. The Grand district serves 350 boys and the cost per boy is $10. The cost per boy in the council is one of the lowest in the nation. Grand Districts fair share of the council Operating budget bud-get is $3,494 and breaks down in the following way. One percent to the National Council, 2 percent to Finace and Public Relations 10 percent per-cent to Camping and Special Activities. 24 per cent to Leadership Lea-dership Training, Personal Coaching and Program Build ing. 37 per cent Service to Cub Pack, Scout Troops and Explorer Ex-plorer Units through professional pro-fessional Field Service. 18 per cent Office Administration. Administra-tion. Four Scout units from the district enjoyed camping this past summer at the council operated camp and 6 units attended the two district sponsored Camporees. There are 14 men on the district operating committees five of who serve as Institutional Insti-tutional Representatives 4 men who serve as Cubmaster five men serve as Explorer Advisor and 24 other men who serve as members of tho various unit committees as well as 15 women who serve as Den Mothers. The Grand District now serves 40 per cent of the boys in Moab and would like to reach 60 per cent of (he boys by 1976 to be able to meet the goals set by the National Na-tional Council in the new program called Boy Powcg' 76.
