Show Arrives Home From Vietnam Moab residents Mr. and Mrs. L. W. Brady, 562 North 5th West, welcome home their son Ted Dean from Vietnam Viet-nam last Saturday. Sgt. Bradv, now 21, was drafted on October 4, 1966. After basic training at Ft. Bliss, Texas, he went Fort Sill, Oklahoma, and then to Fort Hood, Texas for artillery training, and left for Vietnam Viet-nam on October 26, 19G7. He was attached to A Battery, 6th Battalion, 14 Artillery. He was awarded the Purple Heart for wounds received in action on the 5th of March 1968 at Plei Djereng near Pleiku. He also received the Good Conduct medal. Dean was promoted to Sergeant on June 19, 1968, the highest rank attainable in a two-year two-year service. In July he was made Chief Of Section 2. this position he held until his release. While beng transported to Pleiku after his release from duty, the truck in which he was traveling trav-eling hit a land mine and exploded, ex-ploded, causing many injuries. in-juries. Dean escaped with minor injuries. When asked his plans Tor the future, young Brady said "I'm going to buy a car, get a job and go to school.
