Angeles has been collecting arches for the past 21 years and now has several notebooks note-books containing photographs and descriptions of some 265 arches throughout the United Unit-ed States. Vreeland has been in the Moab area several times and spent time this week in K.- Arches National Monument hunting for arches he hadn't seen previously. He took several trips with Lin Ot-tinger Ot-tinger while arch-hunting in Moab. Robert Vreeland is the Supervisor of Structural analysis an-alysis at McDonald Douglas Corporation located at San- r ta Monica. He is involved in missile design some products f which will be tested at Green River. : Vreeland arch collection includes arches from some 20 states. He has spent considerable con-siderable time in the Esca- lante area and has been able to record and photograph 16 arches in the Escalante River Riv-er drainage. He also has spent a lot of time looking for arches in Bryce and Zion Canyons, and has searched the Navajo Reservation Reser-vation for other arches. |
