Show WASHINGTON, April 2. Tie comparative com-parative statement of the Government receipts and expenditure for Mareb, 1907, shows the total receipts ,to have been $54,221,953 and tbe expenditures, $43,602,007, leaving a surplus for the month of $10,619,964. The surplus for the nine months of the present fiscal year is over $51,200,000. One year ago the surplus was & little less than $6,000,000. As compared with March, 1906, the customs receipts ' show an increase of $1,300,000 internal revenue, ad increase of over $2,000,030, and miscellaneous a surplus of $192,000. The expenditures for the last month are over $2,000,000 less than for March. 1906. ' |
