Show FOR PURE POOD PROSECUTIONS Dr. Wiley Orders Collection of Samples on Which Accusations Have Been Based; Will File Charges. WASHINGTON, April 2. The Department De-partment of Agriculture is making preparations pre-parations to begin prosecutions under the pure food law at an early date, and Dr. Wiley has given instructions to his inspectors to secure, as soon as- possible, possi-ble, the samples on which the accusations accusa-tions will be based. The offending establishments es-tablishments have generally been located lo-cated and nothing remains except to obtain specimens of the articles alleged al-leged to be adulterated. Vhen these are procured charges will be formulnted and supplied to the United 8tates District Attorneys in whose districts tho offenders may live, whereupon they will be required to begin criminal proceedings. There will soon bo fort v or fifty inspectors in the field, and Dr. Hadlepr expresses the opinion that a large number of prosecutions prosecu-tions will result from their investigations. |
