Show DR. SIMPKIN GIVEN TILL THURSDAY TO CONSIDER JUDGESHIP Although Dr. P. A. Simpkln of Phillips Congregational church prepared a letter declining the position of Judge of the Juvenile Ju-venile court of the Third Judicial district this morning, -It did not reach the Juvenile Ju-venile court rommisploners and the Rev. Mr. Simpkln was given until next Thursday Thurs-day to reconsider. . Before meeting with the commission this morning Dr. Simpkln said that he had derided that it would be beyond the limitations of humanity for him to accept the position as he is situated now. He declared that it would be- an utter Impossibility Im-possibility for him to do the work of the Juvenile court and the pastorate also. Dr. Simpkin had prepared his letter declining de-clining the position when he appeared before be-fore the commission. Before the letter rearhed the commission he was asked to reconsider Ms action and wait until Thursday before giving a definite answer. At the meeting of the commlsslcm, V. C. Gunnell of Ogden was appointed Juvenile court Judge for the Second Judicial district, dis-trict, and Justice of the Peace A. A. Noon of Provo was appointed Judge of the Fourth Judicial district. |
