Show REPUBLICANS CARRY TOWNS IN MONTANA HELENA, Mont., April 2. Yesterday's Yester-day's municipal elections in Montana resulted in a Republican landslide, only two cities in the State electing Democratic Demo-cratic Mayors, while the opposition party was successful in all other instances in-stances where party nominations were made. As a rule, party lines were eloso-ly eloso-ly drawn and a heavy vote was polled. Great Falls and Lewiston elected straight Democrats, while Billings, Bozeman. Livingston, Anaconda and Butte chose Republican Mayors. In Helena, only Aldermen were elected and the Republicans captured six out of seven. In Red Lodge and Missoula, Citizens' Citi-zens' tickets were successful against Socialists. |
