Walker, the absconding .treasurer of the Savings bank of New Britain; Conn., under indictment for embezzle-' embezzle-' ment and forgery, and a fugitive from i justice. ' A reward of $5000 has been offered for his apprehension and ar-reRt. ar-reRt. . . Walker is believed to have registered as 'W. R. Setber, Boston," in the Portland hotel, Portland, Or., February 1$. linkerton detectives suspect that he may have taken passage for the Orient, Alaska or Australia, but they have by no means abandoned their search on thia continent. Accompanying Accompany-ing the letter sent Chief Sheets is a sample of Walker's penmanship.. With this is the request that the photograph, and description be shown all hotel, boarding-house and rooming-house keepers, train- crows, barbers and other persons who might aid in apprehending the fugitive.
