1 "LORD" HARRINGTON'S NIMBLE FEET MUST DANGLE IN THE AIR WASHINGTON, April 22. In an opinion opin-ion by Chief Justice Fuller, the Supreme court of the United States today dis-- dis-- missed the case of Frederick Seymour, alias "Lord" Barrington, under sentence of death in St. Louis, upon the charge of murdering J. P. MoCann In that city on June 1. 1903, In effect affirming the decision de-cision of the Supreme court of Missouri, and thus sustaining the verdict of guilty returned by the trial court. The case has been before the public for several years, and attracted much attention, at-tention, largely because of Harrington's pretense of beralng an English title, under un-der which, shortly before the tragedy with which his name Is connected, he married a young woman of good family residing In Kansas City. Barrington made a vigorous fight In the Ft. Louis courts, contending that his conviction con-viction was due to prejudice, and that the charge was not sustained by proof. When the Missouri Supreme court decided de-cided against him he brought the case to the Federal Supreme court on a writ of error, contending that his trial had not been fair.
