It took Just two days to finish the business ' for which the meet-Ins; meet-Ins; were called. This Included the adoption adop-tion of the 1907 schedules and . a few minor changes In the playing rules. The American league at a brief session yesterday discussed President Johnson's plan to nave electric scoreboards at the ball parks to announce decisions made by the umpire. It wa decided to leave the scoreboard question to the clubs to do as they see fit. The National commission, comprising President Garry Herman of the Cincinnati Cin-cinnati club, chairman, and President Ban Johnson ; of the American league, and Harry C. Pulllam of the National league, will meet today at the office of the National league. The commission will pick up and settle the odds and ends of the winter business. t ' One deal for a player went through yesterday when the Cleveland club announced an-nounced the sale of Catcher Buelow to the St. Louis club for $1000. It developed devel-oped that negotiations are on foot for the-trading of Catcher Mike Grady from the 8t Louis team to the Giants, but the demands of St. Louis in the matter are considered exorbitant and the deal may fail. There was also some talk between the management of the St. Louis and New 'York American teams regarding an exchange ex-change -of players. y St. Louts wants Joe Teager, the utility inflelder of the New York team, but ' when New York demanded de-manded Pitcher Glade In exchange for him the talk of an exchange was dropped. St. Louis was willing to hand over Albert Jacobson, the left-handed pitcher for Yeager but .New, York declined de-clined the offer.. , - |
