After a stop of several hours at Ogden upon completion of a run from Sun Valley, Idaho, the streamliner stream-liner sped to Salt Lake City, where a group of Union Pacific officials were welcomed by Governor Henry H. Blood, Mayor E. B. Erwln and civic leaders It was expected 12,000 persons will have passed through the train by 11:25 p. m., when it will leavo for Lor Angeles with 190 Salt Lakers Lak-ers and Ogdenltes aboard. When the train arrived at Ogden long lines of persons immediately immediate-ly formed in the aheda and began passing through the cars. The train has three power can, housing six MO-horsepower Diesels for motive force and two 800-horse-power engines to create heat, light and air conditioning. Tha train Is the world's largest and most powerful streamliner, railroad rail-road officials said. The old "City of Los Angeles" made its last run Wednesday until February, when, reconditioned, it will go back Into service.
