Show Fort Collins Five Set For Aggies By JOHN MOONEY Although the three Beehive state college quintets aro certain to fin Ish second, third and fourth m the Big Seven conference basketball race, the feature battles of tho next two week ends will decide which squad among the Utea, Aggies Ag-gies and B. y. U. Cougars will get the runner-up spot. Right now the Aggies, with home gamea against Colorado State and Utah on successive Fridays, rate the nod, but tho way the race has been going this year almost anything might happen. Oppose Colorado B. T. U. faces the toughest row to hoe In Its drive for tho second-place second-place spot, since the Cougars are slated to face Colorado at Boulder Boul-der Friday and Wyoming at Lara-mite Lara-mite Saturday. Utah has a SO-SO split on the home play in its last two game, meeting Colorado State In Salt Lake City Saturday night and the Utah Aggies at Logan the following Friday. The only other game on the slate, which winds up Big Seven competition for all clubs 'but the Utea and Agglea, pits Colorado against Denver on the Pioneer court Saturday night. Colorado State, currently holding hold-ing to fifth place with three wins and seven tosses, can't possibly overtake any of the Utah teams in the two remaining games, so the eastern slope can claim the championship cham-pionship while Utah wins all the runner-up honors. Both tho Agglea and Utes normally nor-mally should wallop Colorado State, leaving the high spot of the week to the Cougars, who have hopea of'anapping the three-year Colorado record of never losing a conference game on the Boulder court. Unless Coach Eddie Kimball can "lift" his cougars to the heights, and he frequently has done Just this, the Provo club seems destined des-tined to come back, out of the running, run-ning, with a split series.
