L Biggest "kick" out of Salt Lake City that Mr. and Mrs. M. L Walterf, 730 East Eighth South street, and their 2'j-year-old daughter, Frances, have had so far if living where there ia mow most of the winter. ' They have been here since December De-cember 1, coming from Winslow, Aria. Previous to that they resided re-sided In southern Li.. a Nevada. Mr. Wal-v,eer Wal-v,eer ters is a former the navy man .and ,, spent many years FOIKS In the tropics. Their daughter, despite her youth, has lived In five different cities In the United States, and Mr. Walters said, "after "aft-er 13 years of traveling around. It Is difficult to settle In one place." Mr, Walters Is a radio operator for the civil aeronautics authority at the Salt Lake municipal airport He learned his business In the navy. He was a radio operator aboard the dirigible Macon when It crashed off the coast of California several years ago. "I got plenty wet and plenty scared, but that Is all that happened hap-pened to me," Mr. Walters said. The family, along with "Roscoe," whom they describe aa a "Nevada sheep dog," have been staying close to home, but with the coming com-ing of spring, Intend to aee the sights of the city. They are "thrilled" with Salt Lake City's climate cli-mate and find It la not at all like they were told It would be. "It la much milder than we had been led te believe." they aald. |
