OCR Text	Show Governor Asks Ruling On State Pay Hike Date Although some divisions of state government have already received supplemental appropriations requested re-quested for payment of salary raises of state judiciary and elected elect-ed officera pursuant to constitutional constitu-tional amendments voted Nov. 6 by the people, there remained doubt Tueaday In the mind of Gov. Herbert B. Maw whether the pay boosts ahould take effect Nov. 6 or Jan. 1, effective date set by the legislature. The governor has asked Atty. Gen. Grover A. Giles for a legal opinion.
