Show WEEK'S BUSINESS LOT; MARKET. IS UHSSIILED In point of activity the stock market showed Improvement again today, but the genreal tone of business Is stm far below that of last week. The transactions transac-tions of the wek aggregate $107.n5.M, representing a total of 201.235 shares, of which 113,710 represented the business of today. Lower Mammoth was the most active trader on the board this morning, selling sell-ing a total of 6600 shares, opening at 57 cent and closing at 67H. The lowest sale was made at lt. New York was weak again, selling 1000 shares at 22 , and COO at 22. Wabash opened at S7 and sold as high as 58 but dropped to 37 on the close. I I ' The particular feature of today's call was a sale of SO shares of Utah Sugar (preferred) at $10.02, which Is the first sale recorded In. the bank and. Industrial stocks since they were listed several weeks ago. Daly-Judge sold around 110.37. Daly dropped 100 at 313.02V4 and May Day sold 2500 at 14 and U. Thompson released 100 at 40 and Mont Tonopah sold 1400 shares, 1100 at S3 and 300 at 8L . Snyder, president of the Western Exploration company, left for Boston this morning, to be present at the meeting of the Bingham Consolidated Consoli-dated directors next Thursday. Among other Important matters which will come up at the meeting will be the proposition to extend the Copper Belt railway of Bingham to the mouth of the Tampa's tunnel. It Is known that 'the Rio Grande Western, which connects with the Copper Belt, will have a representative at the meeting, and this means that the question will, be settled one way or another. BIQ INVESTORS ENTER DEEP CREEK DISTRICT. A number of the Investors of the Western Exploration company have lately become interested In a group of claims in the Dugway district of Deep Creek and will begin systematic development, devel-opment, work at once. This information was given by Manager Whitley this morning. Mr. Whitley refused to give the particulars par-ticulars of the improvement, more than to say that they will. Include several sev-eral furnaces. The capacity Is being Increased to correspond with the supply of ores, which the Utah mines are rushing to the company's plant for treatment.
