Show SJfcxir Must: Not. Co to Rcdfi . .It fs .to be regretted that the management of Saitair has declared off its plansto improve the resort re-sort as a" bathing place.- The announcement made in yesterday's. Telegram that "the directors are confident con-fident the heavy precipitation of this winter will result in the raising of the lake level to such an extent ex-tent that sand bathing .would be eliminated next summer, is a mightv poor solution of a problem which the public has been led to believe wouid be considered from' a practical standpoint by the Bait-air Bait-air owners. It ; has been officially asserted from time to time that various plans to save the resort were being discussed and finally it was given out that the management had decided to build a concrete con-crete wall around the pavilion and make a bathing pool. Now even this impractical scheme has been abandoned. It is all right for the Saitair people to trust in Providence to raise the lako level, but they make a serious mistake in not keeping their powder dry while they wait. Saitair is too valuable a resort re-sort to be permitted to go to rack. It is a good thing fpr Salt Lake City and for the State. It attracts tourists to the Uah capital and it advertises the city. It is to be hoped that there is too much public pub-lic spirit in the Saitair management" to permit this popular resort to lose its prestige. |
