Show RIO-GRANDE TRAINMEN WAITING FOR A REPLY FROM ROAD OFFICIALS The engineers and firemen of the Rio Grande system are waiting for a rel ply from the Rio Grande, officials to their request for a 20 per cent Increase In wages. This request was made over a week ago and it Is the understanding that Superintendent Coughlin will not be ready with his reply for Beveral' days yet. ! '. I In the meantime the conductors and brakemen are waiting their turn. Their grievance committee has returned to Denver and Is now ready to .conduct final negotiations with-Manager Edson and General Superintendent Coughlin. Emphatic denial is made at Rio Grande headquarters that an offer has been made to the engineers and firemen to settle on the 12 and 15 per cent.
