Show SMITH'S NOSE WAS BROKEN BY STRANGER R. W. Smith swore out a complaint yesterday yes-terday afternoon charging two men with assault. One of the men was known as Barney, but Smith did not know the name of tbe other. Smith said that while he was standing near the Salt air depot on Thursday at dusk one of the men hit him on the back of the head and the other struck him on the nose, breaking that member and rendering ren-dering him momentarily unconscious. Before Be-fore he fell he cried for help, which attracted at-tracted the attention of pedestrians, who came to his aid and frightened the men away. |
