The cases of the Armour, Swift, Cudahy and Nelson " Morris packing companies, under in-J7 in-J7 dlctment on charges of accepting re-T re-T bates from the Burlington railway on export shipments on products starting from the Missouri river were resumed in the United States District court here ; this morning before Judge Smith Mc-" Mc-" Pherson. -: ' Before court convened A. S. Van Valkenburgh said: "The statement will be read to the Jury and the court will then, instruct it - as to the law in the case. The usual arguments will then be made and the " case submitted for a verdicL No wit-T wit-T nesses -will be examined. The case , probably will go to the Jury during the . day." The Jury was secured without delay, ' and the statement of facts was read. The arguments were then begun. |
