Show BRADLEY ARRESTED ON ASSAULT CHARGE James Bradley, : successor of Bruce Johnson, as president of the colored men's club on Commercial street, was arrested Friday night on a complaint sworn to by John Coleman, charging Bradley with assault and battery. Coleman said, when securing Bradley's Brad-ley's arrest, that he had been here two years ago, and had lodged in the place which Bradley's club now occupies. He claims that Bradley called him a vile name as he entered the place. Coleman claims he told Bradley that he wanted a room, and was ordered out. Coleman said he then started to leave, but by mistake opened the door of a room. He nays that Bradley knocked him down, rendering him unconscious, and then knlcked him severely. Bradley furnished $50 bonds. |
