L McCarthy set the preliminary hearing for July 21 21 Kanell Kan Kan- ell cli is at liberty on 1000 bail The child was killed when struck by Kanell's automobile while Voyne and his sister Virginia Pass 11 11 were crossing the street in front of Pierpont avenue Police reported that Kanell drove east cast on the street stopped and struck the children as he started to to back I into a parking place The girl suffered suffered suf suf- cuts cut and bruises while the boy died en route to the emergency hos hose pital The complaint charges Kanell with reckless driving and failing to keep a proper lookout when backing his automobile
