Show S . Personal News Notes Mr. and Mrs. Heber Johnson and daughter Jane of Seattle, Wash., are visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Johnson. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Smith and daughter Dolores are spending a month in the east visiting Mrs. Smith's sister and family, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Butler. M. and Mrs. E. L. Ostler have gone to San Diego, Calif, to make their home for the present because of Mrs. Ostler's health. The Rev. and Mrs. Earl L. Fritz and son arrived in Springville recently re-cently to make their home at 263 East, Second South. Rev. Fritz has taken over the duties of pastor pas-tor at the local Presbyterian-Community church. The family came from Bellingham, Wash., and were formerly located at the Westminister Westmin-ister Presbyterian church at Camden, Cam-den, N. J. Both are natives of Ohio. In addition to his duties at the local church, Rev. Fritz is also pastor at the Presbyterian churches at Payson and American Fork. James Alleman has been made lieutenant , commander in the Navy Air Corps. He is stationed at present pres-ent on the ship Roosevelt, his home port being at New York. ' ' Mr. and Mrs. Virl Harrison and daughter Linda of Ogden were week-end guests of Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Harrison. The Harrisons, with Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Finley and their son Paul and Wife, enjoyed en-joyed a party in the canyon Saturday Sat-urday evening. Edna Kennedy has returned home from a two-weeks' vacation with friends in Salina. Mrs. A. L. Larsen has spent three weeks with her son, Everett Larsen and wife, the former Leora Townsend, at Ogden. Miss Helene Clark, who has spent the winter in Seattle, accompanied ac-companied by her sister, Marie Clark Miller, arrived in Springville Spring-ville recently after spending a few days together at the latter's home in Glendale, Calif. Mrs. Myra Murray and Mrs. Wayne Johnson have just returned return-ed from an enjoyable visit with relatives and friends at Los Angeles, An-geles, Calif. Robert Eddington went by plane to Washington, D. C, on June 12 to meet his brother' Mark Eddington, Edding-ton, who has recently been discharged dis-charged from the Navy. He has been stationed at the naval office at Arlington. The brothers plan to tour through New York to Chicago, Chi-cago, HI., through Oklahoma and Texas before returning home by car. Mrs. Dea Miner has returned to her home after a delightful two-weeks' two-weeks' visit in the Nothwest. She visited Mrs. J. S. Winfield and also a brother, Jesse R. Reynolds at Tillamook, Oreg. Mr. and Mrs. Miles Russell of Brooks, Canada, are guests this week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Eddington. Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Eddington have returned from a week's trip by plane, to Canada. Mrs. Eddington Edding-ton visited friends at Calgary while Mr. Eddington was at Brooks on business. They later spent a delightful time at the famous Bamss resort, operated by the Canadian Pacific railroad. Miss Pauline Judd of Salt Lake City is visiting at the home of her brother, Tom Judd, and wife in this city. A large group of relatives attended at-tended the wedding of Miss Gloria Bird, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bryan Bird, and Carl Kerr, Salt Lake City, at Memory Grove in Salt Lake City Tuesday evening. Attending from Springville were, Mrs. May Bird, Mr. and Mrs. Arvil Bird, Mr. and Mrs. Loyd Bird, Mr. and Mrs Lewis Bird, Mr. and Mrs. Russen Bird, Mr. and Mrs. Dean Bird, Mr. and Mrs. Gene Averett, Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Brown, Mr. and Mrs. Dale Allred and Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Harmer of Payson. . Mr. and Mrs. James Faddis of Los Angeles, Cal., have been vis-: vis-: iting here with her mother, Mrs. Delos Oakley, and also at the Ivan Child home. |
