Show 'LEGION POST 28 ' NAMES NEW 1946-47 HEADS Newly Organized Post Installs Officers During Canyon Outing Arland Thorn was elected commander com-mander of the Springville American Ameri-can Legion post No. 28 last Thursday Thurs-day evening during a joint outing out-ing and installation of the Legion post No. 46 officers in which his son, Ted Thorn, was made commander com-mander of the new post. Other offices elected to service Post 28 are, A. C. Chader, first vice-commander, Lacelle Sumsion, second vice-commander; Miles Curfew, adjutant; Lee Walker, chaplain, re-elected; Martin E. Merriott and Bird Brown, ser-geants-at-arms; J. A. Miller, service ser-vice officer. The installation of the new officers offi-cers will be conducted at the first regular meeting in September. Several district and department officials attended the outing and James Dalgleish, department commander, com-mander, officiated at the installation. instal-lation. Approximately 65 Legion members mem-bers attended the outing and a lunch and program were features, directed by Clay Beesley. |
