FISHING IN THE HIGH LAKES, STREAMS, OPENS Second Fishing Season Opens For High Uintah Lakes, Others; Should Be Good Spots Utah's second fish season opening open-ing the high Uintah Lakes and streams and the entire north slope of the Uintah Range wil take the spotlight today, July 1. Starting time in such famous waters as Mirror Lake, Chain Lakes, Brown Duck Lakes, Bridger Lakes, and the Great Grandaddy Lakes will be 5:00 a.m. The season will close October 3, according to the State fishing proclamation. Fishing in the high lakes this year should be as good as ever, according to the State Fish and Game Department. The high waters, stocked each summer by pack horse, received a heavy quota of fish last year, and these will be "keeping" size for the opening. Prominent spots will be at the road's end at Mirror Lake and the more accessible waters in this region. The Marshal Lakes, always al-ways a good spot, should be about "tops" along with Washington and Tryol. Roads are open into all sections, according to information received from the road agencies this week. Many of the roads have not been graded as yet because of the late |
