Show NATIONAL HOME SHOW TO OPEN IN S. L. JULY 17 Thousands of dollars in merchandise, mer-chandise, the newest innovations in home designs and furnishings and nightly entertainment features are expected to draw more than 70.000 Utahns to Salt Lake City July 17 to 24 when the Utah National Home Show opens its doors at the State Fairgrounds. Elaborate plans are being prepared pre-pared to make the $40,000 exposition exposi-tion one of the greatest displays in the history of the state, according accord-ing to Fred Pittera, exposition director. di-rector. The event is sponsored by the Utah Home Builders Association Associa-tion and produced in cooperation with the Salt Lake City Chamber of Commerce. The eight-day show will open with a downtown parade through Salt Lake City at 2 p.m. to be followed hy impressive opening ceremonies at the Fairgrounds. Both state and city dignitaries have been invited to participate. Exclusive rights have been granted radio-station KDYL to produce television and live broad casts from a broadcast stage at the Fairgrounds. In conjunction with the telecasts, a "Miss Television Tele-vision of Utah" contest will be conducted, Mr. Pittera said. The winner will receive a paid trip to Hollywood where she will be a guest of the National Broadcasting Broadcast-ing Corporation. She also will be eligible for the national contest to be held later this year, he explained. ex-plained. Of interest to prospective brides and grooms will be the "Bride and Groom Essay Contest."
