Show EDUCATOR FILES FOR POSITION AS SCHOOL HEAD" Ernest E. Greenwood of Midvale, has announced his candidacy for the office of State Superintendent x ij ERNEST E. GREENWOOD of Public Instruction on the Republican Re-publican ticket. A native Utahn of pioneer stock, he has been prominent in the educational activities activ-ities of the state for many years. As President of the Utah Education Edu-cation Association member of its board of trustees, twice chairman of its central committee, three times, president of the Jordan Principals' and Supervisors" Club and delegate to several National Education Association conventions he has long been a leader of the teachers. Mr. Greenwood received his bachelor's degree in American history his-tory in 1925 from the University of Utah and his Master's degree in educational administration from the same institution in 1931. He has also studied at Stanford University. In 1936, Mr. Greewood was nominated nom-inated by the Republican Party for the office he now seeks. An active ac-tive Republican, he has been vice-prsident vice-prsident of the Republican Club of Utah, chairman of his legislative legis-lative district and delegate to the National Republican convention of 1932. He has- worked in every department of the public schools from the primary grades to the University, as teacher, principal and supervisor. |
