Show 'FORRESTER WARNS ON FIRE DANGER DURING THE "FOURTH" Professor J. Whitney Floyd, Logan, Chief forester-firewarden for Utah, urges all residents of Utah to confine their Fourth of July celebrating to activities other than the dangerous pastime of shooting off fireworks. Professor Floyd cites both state law and city ordinances that prohibit sale and the use of firework within Utah. In the past many personal injuries, in-juries, destruction of buildings and other property, and fires in our canyon areas and on our watersheds water-sheds have resulted from the use of fireworks, Mr. Floyd said. This year lets cooperate to let Utah be one state that will ' come through the "Fourth" with an un-blackened un-blackened unburned celebration. |
