Show Testimonial Planned For Departing Missionary Cv Dick Boyer, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Boyer, has accepted a call to serve in the Central Atlantic States mission, mis-sion, and will leave as a representative from the Third ward early in February. In his honor a farewell testimonial testi-monial is arranged for Sunday evening, Feb. 1, in the Third ward chapel, beginning at 7:30 p. m., to . . v? . - ' ... - 5 . ' ' ' ft --' 't - - j ELDER BOYER which all members of the ward and friends are invited. He will leave on Monday, February Feb-ruary 2, for the mission home in Salt Lake City, and following a training course there will leave for the mission headquarters. The program in his honor will include : Opening song, congregation; congrega-tion; invocation, Cal Packard; piano solo, Kathleen Olsen; instrumental instru-mental selection, Blair, Ruth and Janice Sargent; talk, Wm. T. Tew- vocal selection; Mrs. Lela Packard; reading, Eli Tippetts; talk, Wm. Witney; violin numbers, Gordon Childs, accompanied by Douglas Childs; remarks, W. A. Boyer, father of the missionary; remarks, Bishop G. Ray Hales; response, Elder Boyer; closing song, congregation; congre-gation; benediction, Kenneth Newman, New-man, ! . Elder Boyer graduated from the Springville high school and seminary. semin-ary. He served 18 months in the army and after receiving his discharge dis-charge attended school at the Brig-ham Brig-ham Young university. |
