Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Roylance attended the convention of the State Asociation of County Officials, Offic-ials, held at the Newhouse hotel, Salt Lake City, the past week-end, Mr. Roylance being in charge of the county attorney session of the convention. Mr. and Mrs. Dave Friel and Mr. and Mrs. Bob Hillis left this week on a few days business and pleasure pleas-ure trip to California. Miss Hilda Dalton, of Salt Lake City, is spending a few days in SpringviUe with relatives and friends, recuperating from a recent re-cent major operation. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Cates returned recently from an enjoyable three weeks' visit with their daughter, Mrs. Dan Copland and family, at Los Angeles, Calif. They also visited other relatives and friends in Beverly Hills and Hollywood. Mrs. Cates sister, Mrs. J. A. Hardy, and son Lee, returned with them for a few days visit and left on Tuesday for their home in Los Angeles. ; . Mr. and Mrs. Chester Johnson, of Salt Lake City, were among those from out-of-town who spent the weekend " here and attended the Averett-Farnsworth reunion. Mr. and Mrs. G. Lowry Anderson Ander-son left on Saturday of. the past week for Chicago, 111., where Mr. I Anderson will attend a convention of the National Automobile Dealers Association. They plan on going to Detroit, Mich, to again visit the Ford plant and will visit other places of interest in the vicinity before returning. i Mr. and Mrs. Willis K. Johnson, Sr., are spending a few weeks doing do-ing temple work at St. George. ' Carl Sanford, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Sanford, recently returned re-turned from 18 months service in the army, most of the time being spent in Germany Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Malheiro and son Raymond, of Newark N. .' have arrived at Mapleton to visit Mrs. Malheiro's parents, Mr and Mrs. Sylvester Allan. She plans to remain about two months while Mr. Malheiro will return early in February. V Mr. and Mrs. Frank Sanford, accompanied ac-companied by Mr. and Mrs. Harlan Boyer, are spending a few days' vacation at Mesa, Ariz., where they expect to visit the temple. Is, Planned to go through the St. George temple and mfy spend a short time in New Mexico Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Binker, of this city, Monday received word of the death of a grandson, Doyle ,at Wah0 FalIs- Idaho. The child died of membraneous croup at the hospital there. The parents are former residents of Delta. |
