Last week's M Men games saw some of the best, most exciting battles waged during the entire schedule. Top upset of the week was Fifth's victory over Second, 32-31. Sixth's win over First was also a mild upset. Another thriller thrill-er was the Second's 35-36 win over Third Saturday night, after Third had led them throughout the entire game. Third defeated Mapleton, 41-32, in the opening game Thursday night, with Teasdale and Miner counting 13 and 12 points, respectively. respec-tively. Wilkins and Hanson with 9 each led the losers. Sixth surprisingly sur-prisingly led the First warders throughout the entire game to win 26-20. Sanford and Clark counted I high for the winners, while Bjarnson Bjarn-son was top scorer for the losers. In the top game of the evening, Fifth, behind the outstanding playing play-ing of Black and Anderson and the entire team; took over scoring chores and kept the Fifth ward out in front all the way until the last minutes of play, when Second tied up the game and then went two points ahead. Bird knotted the count and then Fifth got a free toss which Second could not overcome, over-come, to win the game 32-31. Little Lit-tle "Speed" Crandall and Childs kept the Second in the running, counting 10 and 11 points, respectively. respec-tively. Fourth had a 17-9 lead over Sixth at halftime in their contest Saturday night, but fell behind at the end of the third quarter by 2 points, and then succumbed to a fast Sixth ward rally in the final quarter, 28-38. Clark counted high for the winners with 11 points, followed closely behind by Williams Wil-liams and Richins with 9. Owen Sumsion was high for the losers with 8 points, although team scoring scor-ing was pretty evenly divided for Fourth. Second had to go all out to emerge with a one-point win over Third in the second game Saturday. Satur-day. Teasdale hit a new high with 21 points to keep Third out in front all the way except for the last minute of play. Stanger dunked 11 for Second. First won over Mapleton, 2-0, on a forfeit in the other scheduled game. Box scores: Thursday's Games . ; . MAPLETON G. T. F. P. Bills, f 2 2 2 6 Nielson, f 0 0 0 0 Wilkins, c 3 3 3 9 P.
