Show Humphrey Cleaners Win Merchant Bowling League Humphrey Cleaners won the Merchant league bowling title in a thrilling finish to a highly successful success-ful bowling season, by winning a playoff with Smittie's Texaco. Both teams ended with identical wins and losses and a three-game playoff was necessary, with Humphrevs winning on pins of 2749 to 2642. In the final night's ' bowling Monday night, Humphreys won a 3-1 victory over Francis Cafe, with pin totals of 2546, to 2402. Smittie's Smit-tie's likewise won 3-1 over Art Bowling, with a total pin count , of 2485 to 2397. Springville Feed-Johnson Feed-Johnson Tire clipped Phillips for 3 points with 2475 pins-to 2432. Ed. Johnson was top individual bowler of the evening with 227 pins, followed by Kay Johnson i.rirV, 90Q nnrt'n W .Tlldd with 20fi. Del Humphrey won the series score with 551. Ed. Roundy counted count-ed 547 and Ed. Johnson hit for 542. Phillips got the high game score for teams with 895 pins. Smittie's counted 872 and Springville Spring-ville Feed-Ed. Johnson got 862.
