Show Memorial Service Friday For Pfc. Ted Ostler Memorial services for Pfc. Ted Ostler, son of Mrs. Margaret Ostler of this city, who lost his life while serving with the U.S. army in France, will be conducted Friday, at 2 p.m., in the Fourth ward chapel, under direction of Bishop Wilford W. Clyde of the Ninth ward. Friends may call at the A. Y. Wheeler and Son Mortuary from 11 a.m., Friday, until time of the services. Burial will be in the Evergreen cemetery, where both posts of the American Legion will conduct military rites. Pfc. Ostler was born in Springville Spring-ville April '4, 1920, a son of Margaret Mar-garet Boyack Ostler and the late Charles R. Ostler. He received his education in the Springville schools and graduated from Seminary Sem-inary here. On August 21, 1940, he married . I i . - i Pfc. Ted Ostler Gloria Roach of Spanish Fork and they lived in Springville until he left for the service December 9, 1943. The following August, 1944, he left for overseas service and lost his life while serving with the 324th Infantry Div. in France December 7, 1944. Survivors include his former wife, Mrs. Gloria R. Giles and one daughter, Kathleen, of Springville; also his mother and 12 brothers and sisters, Mrs. Maude Giles, Miss Ethel Ostler, Mrs. lone Braithwaite, Virgil and Blaine Ostler, Ost-ler, Springville; Mrs. Mildred Jones, Mrs. Blanch Palmer, Provo; Mrs. Tess Bird, Salina; C. Robert Ostler, Orem; A. Ray Ostler, D. LeVell Ostler, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Louise Wing, Mapleton. |
