Show 59th Wedding Observed Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Phillips, well known pioneer residents resi-dents of Springville, greeted relatives and friends at their home Friday, and on Sunday enjoyed a family dinner, marking the fifty-ninth anniversary of their marriage, which occurred on Friday. ' Attending the family anniversary dinner were: Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Lambson of Helper, Mr. and Mrs. Wells Robinson of Salt Lake City, Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Phillips, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Phillips, Mr. and Mrs'. Lewis Phillips,' Ernest and Theo Phillips, and the guests of honor. Mr. Phillips, who has followed blacksmithing for many years, was born in Springville, January 10, 1866. He has always lived here and in his earlier life took active part in civic affairs. Mrs. Maria E. Leah Phillips was born in Spanish Fork September 6, 1866, and spent her early life in that city. She has lived in Springville since her marriage to Mr. Phillips in the Manti temple, February 27, 1889. She has just recently re-cently recovered from a long illness so that no large celebration cele-bration was planned for the wedding anniversary. Mr. and Mrs. Phillips have made their home at First East First North streets many years. |
