Show CALIFORNIA SEEKS ASSISTANCE OF ALFALFA GROWERS More than one-half of California, Califor-nia, from San Francisco to Sacramento Sacra-mento south of the Mexican border, bor-der, faces the worst drouth in the recorded history of the state, according ac-cording to an announcement received re-ceived from the California Livestock" Live-stock" Asociation, San Francisco, to S. R. Boswell, Utah county agent. The drouth period began in November No-vember and has continued throughout the winter. Cattle have been moved from the drouth area to Oregon, Washington, Texas, Tex-as, Idaho and Montana. Many more must be moved. Hay is needed to be shipped in. The article urgently requested information in-formation as to hay supply available avail-able in Utah county price per ton, baled, amount available, etc. Hay growers of Utah county who have surplus hay which could be shipped in car loads are invited in-vited to communicate at the county coun-ty agent's office for the names of the associations in California. |
