Show BOARD EXTENDS DATE FOR GAS RATE DECREASE The state public service commission commis-sion has extended the effective date of a commission order requiring requir-ing Mountain Fuel Supply Co. to reduce its natural gas rates by $1,366,291 annually. Under the former order issued Nov. 14, the company was required to file new rate schedules by Dec. 15 to become effective Jan. 19. The commission, which has under un-der consideration a company petition peti-tion for rehearing, extended the date for filing new rates to 10 days after the ruling on the petition, peti-tion, if it is denied, and the effective effec-tive date of new rates to 40 days after the ruling. A memorandum also was filed by American Smelting and Refining Refin-ing Co. and International Smelting and Refining Co., interveners in the gas rate case. The two large industrial users of gas asked the commission to "review with great care" its decision cutting exploration explora-tion and development allowances of the utility. |
