Show i "Swing- Fever" A Tuneful Funf est "Swing Fever," playing at the Rivoli Theatre Tuesday and Wednesday, Wed-nesday, is a merry, mirthful tune-fest tune-fest displaying the talents of Kay Kyser and his band at their very best and featuring blonde and beautiful Marilyn Maxwell in her first musical role. In the script, Kay writes a sym-phonietta sym-phonietta and going to New York to publish it, falls prey to the wiles 'of an unscrupulous fight promoter who turns Kay into a night-club band leader. Marilyn falls in love with him and tells him of the plot against him. All featured singers of the Kyser Ky-ser orchestra appear in this film, including comic Ish Kabbible, and five new songs are introduced. Lena Home sings the outstanding outstand-ing "You're So Indifferent to Me" and the Merriel Abbott dancers perform in three numbers. William Gargan is also cast as a Broadway character who loves and loses with saving grace. |
