Show Life of Famous Singer Reviewed at Music Club One of the interesting lessons on the Springville Federated Music club calendar was given Friday evening by Mrs. Howard Maycock and Mrs. Catherine D. Wills. The meeting was held at the home of Mrs. Edward Forshee who served light refreshments in conclusion to the program. In connection with their talks, Mrs. Maycock and Mrs. Wills asked ask-ed Mrs. Lewis Bird to play a violin selection, "The last Rose of Summer," a Jenny Lind favorite. Mrs. Maruice Bird was accompanist accompan-ist Mrs. Ernest Boyer also sang, "O Rest in the Lord," form Elijah, accompanied by Mrs. Loyd Bird and Mrs. LaRell Johnson played a a paino selection, "On Wings of Song". A note of special interest and atmosphere was brought to the meeting by Miss Zina Johnson in in the form of a Jenny Lind doll, a gift from a friend and she had dressed it in typical Jenny Lind attire at-tire complete with black velvet trimmed in pink, with black lace on the sleeves, a tiny gold cord about the , waist and a tiny pinpoint pin-point comeo at the neck. The doll held . a prominent . place on the piano during the meeting. Mrs. Catherine Sheffield was a special guest of the hostess. |
