In First Ward ForLewis Childs A farewell testimonial honoring Elder Lewis B. Childs, son of Bishop and Mrs. Lewis Childs, will be held in the First ward Sunday evening, March 20, beginning at 7 p.m. Elder Childs will serve in the Hawaiian mission field for the LDS church. Lewis, who is now attending the Brigham Young University and is a junior at that school, will enter the mission home on March 23 and will sail from Los Angeles April 8. He is a graduate of the high school and seminary. The missionary services will include in-clude prelude and postlude music by Mary Bird, prayers by Clark Day and Leo Thursman. Mary W. Bradford will sing two solos one of which will be in Hawaiian. A vocal duet will be sung by Jerald E. and Nellie M. Bybee. Speakers for the service, besides the parents par-ents and the missionary, will include in-clude Andrew G. Peterson, Howard Maycock, Rawsel W. Bradford, all former bishops of the ward. |
