Show Plans Undertaken To Raise Funds for Art Project With a desire to assist with raising finances for the Springville art movement, the Chamber of Commerce and the high school alumni association have initiated a plan in which they are sending letters let-ters to former residents of Springville Spring-ville and alumni of the high school inviting them, if they desire, to contribute to the project. Enclosed with the letter is a phamplet explaining the purpose of the art movement and its cultural cul-tural effects upon students and visitors. " " The phamplet also explains the benefactor fund of $100 which when contributed by an individual, gives the person the right to have his name engraved on a bronze plaque in the gallery. An organization organi-zation name is engraved with a contribution of $250. Being incorporated, the association associa-tion may receive and may be named nam-ed legatee and devisee of wills and the beneficiary of insurance policies, poli-cies, the gifts to be placed in a permanent fund to be used for future fu-ture maintenance of the gallery, the phamplet points out. The association invites and welcomes wel-comes friends and patrons who feel an interest in the educational value val-ue of the exhibit and a pride in the Springville high school to become members, through gifts, contribution contribu-tion or bequest, it is stated. On the phamplet is a blank in which individuals may designate the amount contributed and his name. In undertaking to send there letters to alumni and former residents, resi-dents, it is difficult to obtain the addresses. Chamber Secretary A. W. The letters are signed by Howard How-ard C. Maycock, president of the Chamber of Commerce and Paul A. Thorn, president of the high school Alumni Assn., both of which organizations or-ganizations are cooperating in the project. |
