Show Spring Cleaning Precedes Annual ArtShow Opening In preparation for the opening or the Springville April Art show, members of the Hafen-Dallin Art club, with President Zola Gogar-ty Gogar-ty in charge gave the paintings in the permanent exhibit their spring cleaning Saturday, directed by Curator Cu-rator Stanley Burningham. Mrs. Mae Huntington of the art committee also reports that some very interesting entries have been unpacked for the April show, including in-cluding two by Frederick J. Grant. This west coast artist gives recitals reci-tals as he displays his paintings and his pictures usually have a musical theme. Along with his picture "Garden in the Rain," by DeBussey, he is sending the record which he also made. His other entry is "Transfiguration." "Trans-figuration." Many club groups and others have arranged scheduled tours af the gallery in their yearbooks or by personal contact already, Mrs. Huntington said and many others are expected as the time for the opening draws near. Mrs. Huntington gave a talk on the school's permanent collection in Spanish Fork recently. The permanent collection will be hung in the downstairs galleries this year with those pictures purchased pur-chased in the past five years to occupy a place in the lobby. This is being done for the benefit of so many April art show visitors who display special interest in the school's permanent collection of paintings. The April exhibit entries will be hung in the galleries on the second floor of the Art Building. |
