Springville Readies Plans for City Election on Tuesday Springville citizens are all set to vote for three city councilmen and a city treasurer, all of whom are to serve for a period of four years, it was announced today by party chairman. In well prepared advertisements, each party has set forth the city program on which it will place em- Political Candidates ... phasis and pictures of the individual individ-ual candidates will acquaint townspeople towns-people with the people for whom they will cast their vote. Three incumbents are running for re-election, Harold Whiting for 4-year councilman on the Independent Inde-pendent ticket, and Alma Fullmer, Full-mer, for the same position on the Citizen's Ticket. Both men have served a term of two years on the council. Mrs. Jaliet Crandall, incumbent in-cumbent city treasurer, was the choice of both parties for this position po-sition and she also has served in the same position for the past two years. Other candidates on the respective respec-tive tickets are as follows: Independent Paul Haymond, 4 - year councilman; Howard C. Sumsion, 4-year councilman. Citizens Albert L. Thorpe, 4-year 4-year councilman; Don Watts, 4-year 4-year councilman. A review of the platforms of each party will be seen in the advertisements in other sections of today's Springville Herald. Citizens Citi-zens are advised to read that for which each stands and make every effort to become acquainted with the various party candidates. Each candidate on both tickets has a long list of accomplishments in civic and church activities in this City. Each has done what he or she believes is for the best good of the community in that service. It will be the privilege of the citizens of Springville to name their choice of candidates at the election polls Tuesday.
