Show rage ren -The bpnngvme mn) nciaiu w Kolob M Men to Be Represented By Three Outstanding Teams Kolob stake will play host to the first district tournament of Division Five when eight teams compete com-pete here next Wednesday, January 25, Thursday, January 26 and Saturday. January 28 for the right to enter the Division Di-vision 5 meet in February. The district dis-trict tourney is a preliminary step in an elimination meet prior to the annual divisional meet which will only be an eight team tourney. The District A tourney will include in-clude teams representing Kolob, Nebo, Palmyra stakes in Springville, Spring-ville, Spanish Fork and Payson, respectively, and the surrounding cities. Three teams placing highest in the meet will gain berths in the Division meet. Norman Graves, Kolob Stake supervisor is in charge i of the district tournament, an nounced DelMoine Christensen, , newly appointed Division 5 super visor. Brackets for the tournament 1 have been set up with the place ment of teams as follows: I Upper Bracket Kolob 2nd ! place vs Nebo 2nd place; Palmyra winner vs Nebo third place. Lower Bracket Nebo winner vs Kolob third place; Kolob win-! win-! ner vs Palmyra 2nd place. The games Wednesday, January 26, will begin at 6 p.m., and will run through in the order listed j above. Thursday night's games will also begin at 6 p.m. Saturday nigh,t games will open at 7 p.m. Following the championship i game, trophies and awards will be presented to teams. , |
