Show Kolob District ' Scout News Kolob district scouts are being notified this week of the Board of Reviews scheduled for the evening eve-ning of Wednesday, January 25, at 6:30 p.m. in the stake house. Courts of Honor will be held in the various wards and churches next month as part of Scout Week observance, announces Commissioner Commis-sioner Elwood Loveridge. The week marking the birthday birth-day of scouting will be highlighted by special programs and window displays in various business concerns con-cerns about town. Scouts at Elk Refuge The scouts of this district have again been given an invitation to visit Hardware Ranch, an elk refuge ref-uge in the East Canyon out of Logan over the weekend and the explorers are planing to go up in busses for the first weekend and the other scouts the following weekend. The boys help feed the elk and have a general good time cooking their own meals and camping out. They feel quite favored fa-vored to be the only district in this area to be invited to. the refuge. , The annual snow carnival is being planned for February 11, Mr. Loveridge said, and the boys are hoping for more snow at Maple Ma-ple Dell in Payson Canyon so they may carry on their usual skiing and sleighing program. However, snow or no snow, they will participate par-ticipate in the annual outing which always afords the scouts a lot of fun. |
